Three Oaks, Michigan has attractions that range from a classic fine arts theater to quaint roadside farmstands. The area has been attracting artists since the 1920s and is home to a surprising number of art galleries, as well as classic cinemas, concerts and live theater. The famed Acorn Theater, a live performance theater located in the Featherbone Factory is located on Generations Drive, and the Viickers Theater is a turn-of-the-20th-century film house that has been restored into an “intimate art house.” Just a short drive from Three Oaks are the rolling hills and valleys of Southwest Michigan’s wine country. This area’s sandy, well drained soil, hilly terrain and Lake Michigan has helped created a variety of unique microclimates that has made wine making a huge success. Several wineries in the area offer tours and special wine tasting events throughout the year. The lush countryside of the Harbor Country is also filled with “u-pick” farms and roadside farmstands that offer juicy blueberries and ripe, red strawberries, peaches, pumpkins and a variety of fresh vegetables. Shopping is another popular pastime in Three Oaks, especially in area’s antique stores where you will find everything from fine china and crystal to furniture. The “Red Arrow Ride” route through Harbor Country connects all of the towns of the region, so you won’t miss any shopping opportunities.

The beautiful Lake Michigan beaches are, of course, a major attraction to the area. The village of Three Oaks is part of Southwest Michigan’s Harbor Country, which is anchored by two major public beaches, with several smaller, local beaches in between. At the southern end of what is officially “Harbor Country,” you will find New Buffalo Beach and at the northern end is Warren Dunes State Park and Beach. Miles of pristine sandy beach, unspoiled by commercial development makes this an ideal vacation destination. Recreational activities in the area include swimming, fishing, and boat charters, canoeing and kayaking, hiking, camping, biking and much more. Warren Dunes State Park is 1,952 acres of spectacular Lake Michigan shoreline and sand dunes that provide abundant recreational opportunities. Here, the rugged dune formation rises 260 feet above the lake is a great place for hang gliding. Warren Dunes State Park also includes three miles of shoreline, six miles of hiking trails. It is located two and a half miles south of Bridgman on the west side of the Red Arrow Highway. Every season in Three Oaks has something to offer. Fall is an outstanding time to visit for the changing colors of the leaves, and winter brings even more opportunities for recreation, such as cross country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. Warren Dunes State Park has snow shoe rentals, cross-country skiing and great slopes for tobogganing. In addition, there are several other parks near Three Oaks, but outside of the Harbor Country area, that offer lighted trails for nighttime cross-country skiing, ski rentals and lessons and nature tours.
