Three Oaks is home to a beautiful lakeside resort that offers affordable cabins nestled in 62 wooded acres with modern amenities and all the comforts of home. Each cabin is situated so that guest have a view of the lake, a wooded ravine or an open, sunny, grassy area. One and two-bedroom cabins with sleeping lofts are available and resort amenities include two outdoor heated pools, two private lakes for swimming and fishing, a lodge and pavilion, sports fields, playgrounds, a hiking trail and more. Weekly and weekend rentals are available at the resort. The village of Three Oaks is also home to a bed and breakfast inn that is housed in a restored Victorian home that offers three one-of-a-kind rooms. A deluxe continental breakfast is included with your stay and this B&B is situated in the cultural district of downtown Three Oaks near all the restaurants, shops and art galleries.
Many other lodging options are available in the other Harbor Country villages of Michiana, Lakeside, Grand Beach, New Buffalo, Union Pier, Harbert and Sawyer. Budget friendly hotels and motels such as Comfort Inn, Best Western and Super 8 can be found in New Buffalo and Sawyer. The town of Union Pier offers several charming bed and breakfast inns that feature private baths, woodburning fireplaces, hot tubs, saunas and much more. Several of these inns are just steps to the beach and some are even pet friendly. Lakeside cabins and cottages are a popular type of accommodation in the Three Oaks area. Many are available, including a fully restored “vintage” cottage in the town of Lakeside from the 1930s/1940s “Golden Era” of Michigan beach cottages. Other options include log homes and vintage knotty pine cottages that are just steps to the beach and conveniently located near restaurants, delis and shops.
For those who enjoy camping, Three Oaks is home to the Bob-A-Ron Campgrounds on Warren Woods Road. There are several other campgrounds in the area, including Warren Dunes State Park, which offers campsite rentals and tent and mini cabin rentals. It is located at the Red Arrow Highway and Sawyer. Please note that dogs are not allowed on the beach at Warren Dunes. Also located on the Red Arrow Highway in Sawyer is Kamp Across From the Dunes, a family campground with RV full hook-up sites, water, electricity and sewer. Tent camping seasonal sites are also available. This campground also includes a game room, bathroom and hot showers.
